5. Choose the port number to which you wish to connect and the screen below will appear.

6. Type in the user name and password. The data-channel connection between port 16 and

the selected serial port will be built, so the administrator can control the serial device or

server.

7. Press the “Cntl” and “C” keys to get out of the serial-to-serial function and return to the

main console screen.

Note:

• Inordertoshowthefollowingserial-to-serialcongurationscreen,youneedto

enable the serial-to-serial function. The default baud rate is ﬁxed as 9600 8N1 (not

reconﬁgurable) in order to get the best compatibility with third-party terminal monitor

devices.
